This lesson was developed as part of the MOE 2010 History syllabus. It is set as an E-Learning activity in which students will complete the task outside the boundaries of the classroom. Students will take an estimated timing of 60 minutes to complete the whole task. This lesson focuses on the successes & failures of the David Marshall and Lim Yew Hock government in achieving internal self-governance for Singapore. In this WebQuest activity, students are to work individually and go through the design processes that have already been created for them. Students are given a scenario (post independence era 1955-1959) in which they will have to complete the step-by-step task given to them. Students will have to read the contributions of both David Marshall & Lim Yew Hock followed by a quiz to test their understanding. At the end of the WebQuest activity, students will be tasked to do a write-up (an evaluative question) which will then be submitted to the teacher. |
